Anuppur, Anuppur district's village panchayat Mitthu Mahua is one where Baiga caste resides mostly which is a protected caste for which the government has made many schemes but leave aside the schemes, they are not even getting the benefits of the basic schemes at present. This is a village panchayat where even after independence, people are forced to live in tribal dominated areas due to problems of road, water and electricity. The situation here is such that people are seen fighting a battle of life and death for 4 months in the rainy season. Despite having a population of about 700, when these people get sick, they have to go 5 kms away carrying the patient on a cot. On coming to the public hearing in Anuppur Collectorate, they told that we have gone to the MP many times, talked to the Sarpanch Secretary and submitted applications but even today we cannot go to the market from home for 4 months because no vehicle can go for 5 to 7 kms, whether it is a four wheeler or a two wheeler, it is difficult for children to walk on the road to go to school, so children are not able to go to school due to which There is no plan for their education and development. On talking to Sachin, he says that we will do it when the budget comes. Villagers say that budget comes every time but in our village it is the Sarpanch and Secretary who develop, not the village. Villagers expect that the effort should be made to provide roads, clean drinking water, electricity, which are basic facilities, as soon as possible. If women are pregnant in the village, they have to call an ambulance, but we have to go 5 kilometers away on a cot with four to five people. Due to the distance being 5 kilometers, instead of five people, 10 to 12 people go. When we leave them and come to the ambulance, it has been so many years since the country got independence, but even today we are locked in our village. How will the people of this village build a clean India, who are forced to drink dirty water? Sarpanch Secretary says that wherever you want to complain, we can do it whenever we have to work. We are not afraid of anyone. The ration card and wages are not given as much as they should be. The secretary is not making ration ID cards and giving them, due to which children are facing problems in admission, scholarship, life certificate, death certificate etc. Wherever we villagers go with any problem, he is not found at home because the Assistant Secretary has built his house in Shahdol and he resides in Shahdol. According to the rules, the Assistant Secretary should be present in the same Gram Panchayat.
