Upper Caste Community Opens Front Against Central Government Over UGC Act, Protests Held, Memorandum Submitted to the President
Protests against the UGC Act intensified in Katni as upper caste members demonstrated near the Collectorate, demanding withdrawal of the alleged discriminatory law.

Katni, Protests against the Central Government over the UGC Act are taking place across the country. Today, members of the upper caste community gathered near the Katni Collectorate and raised slogans against the central government.
Ramakant Pappu Dixit, a member of the upper caste community, said that they demanded the withdrawal of this discriminatory law and that the upper caste community has now openly come out against the central government. He called it a civil war, saying the government has divided everyone and the future of children is at risk.
Awadhesh Kumar Urmaliya said that the central government will have to withdraw the discriminatory law. Now, wherever elections are held, the upper caste community will harm both the BJP and the Congress. We are submitting a memorandum to the President demanding the withdrawal of the UGC Act, otherwise, we will launch a fierce agitation.
