EC rejects Rahul Gandhi's claim, DM makes report public on commission's order

Patna, Election Commission of India has termed the removal of female voter Ranju Devi's name from the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the voter list in a video by Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi as false and baseless.

The Commission has made its report public after getting it investigated by the District Magistrate of Rohtas. The investigation report states that the name of Ranju Devi and her entire family has been published in the draft list.

The Commission has issued a statement and clarified that female voter Ranju Devi is a resident of Nauhatta block of Chenari assembly constituency. In this, Ranju Devi, husband Sudhir Ram, is registered at booth number 342 and serial number 930 of the voter list. The EPIC number of the female voter is AQQ 1899913.

Apart from this, the names of his family members Sudhar Ram, Anita Devi, Sushil Ram, Shiv Govind Ram, Semri Devi, Satyendra Ram and Virendra Ram are also registered at booth number 343. The names of all these are registered in the published draft voter list.
