Two-time Olympic medalist and veteran Indian badminton player PV Sindhu has been appointed to the Badminton World Federation's (BWF) Athletes' Commission for the third time. The world body announced the new members on Friday for a term from November 2022 to November 2029.
Sindhu previously served on the Commission from 2017 to 2025. She has been a BWF Integrity Ambassador since 2020. She was named to the Athletes' Commission alongside An Se Young (Korea), Doha Hani (Egypt), Jia Yi Fan (China), and Deborah Jille (Netherlands). No election was required, as only these five players were nominated to serve on the Commission.
