Collector Sudhir Kochar said: All errors identified in the MANIT report should be rectified within the stipulated time frame
Damoh Collector Sudhir Kumar Kochar announced regular coordination meetings, road safety actions on black spots, and faster inter-departmental coordination.

Damoh, Collector Sudhir Kumar Kochar said that the district administration is constantly striving to maintain better coordination and communication among all departments. With this objective, in collaboration with Superintendent of Police Shrutkirti Somvanshi and Divisional Forest Officer Ishwar Jarande, an arrangement has been made to hold departmental coordination meetings regularly. To strengthen this initiative, a new branch called the "Coordination Branch" has been established at the Collectorate.
He informed that the last coordination meeting was held in September, while another comprehensive meeting was held today. In the meeting, detailed discussions were held with officers from the Revenue, Forest, Police, Health, Excise, Transport, and Construction departments, and several important decisions were taken.
On this occasion, a meeting of the District Road Safety and Traffic Committee was also held. A report related to 14 black spots in the district, received from MANIT Bhopal, was presented at the meeting. The professor from MANIT and his team gave a detailed presentation to all the officers present. Based on the report, the administration has immediately started taking action to transform the black spots into safe and normal conditions.
The Collector said that in a crucial decision, officials and employees of the road construction department have been instructed to rectify all the errors identified in the MANIT report within the stipulated time frame. In addition, other various reports were also discussed in detail.
The meeting also discussed land demarcation issues of the Forest and Revenue departments, transport, health, and other departmental matters, and many important decisions were taken.
He said that the administration will strive to hold such coordination meetings every month to ensure better implementation of schemes and quick solutions in the public interest.
Superintendent of Police Shrutkirti Somvanshi thanked the MANIT Bhopal team. He said that they will work on their recommendations and ensure all necessary actions are taken within one to two months. During the meeting, CPR training was also discussed, and it was suggested that officials and employees, as well as people in accident-prone villages, should be provided with this training.
