Free land and interest subsidy of up to Rs 40 crore, CM Nitish's big announcement for businessmen

The Bihar government has approved the Bihar Industrial Investment Promotion Package (BIIPP-2025) to attract new industries and create jobs. Companies investing ₹100 crore and providing 1000+ jobs will get up to 10 acres of free land, while Fortune 500 firms can get land for just ₹1. The policy also includes SGST exemption, interest subsidies, and incentives for MSMEs, textiles, exports, renewable energy, and employment generation.

Patna, there is great news for those setting up industries in Bihar. The state government has approved the Bihar Industrial Investment Promotion Package (BIIPP-2025) in the cabinet meeting held on Tuesday. A total of 26 agendas were approved in this meeting chaired by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, of which this package promoting the industry is the most important. Chief Secretary Amrit Lal Meena said that the purpose of this package is to attract new industries in Bihar and increase employment opportunities.

Companies will get free land

Under this policy, companies that invest Rs 100 crore or more in Bihar and provide more than 1000 jobs will be given free land up to 10 acres. Apart from this, it has been decided to give 25 acres of land free to companies investing more than 1000 crores. This policy has been approved by the cabinet.

Land on a token of Rs 1!

Giving information after the cabinet meeting, Chief Secretary Amrit Lal Meena also said that the government has decided to give land to companies even on token money of one rupee. This facility will be given to companies falling in the category of Fortune 500. Such companies will be given up to 10 acres of land on token money of only Rs 1.

Three types of financial help

The Bihar government has also given relief to small investors in setting up companies in Bihar. They will get 50 percent discount on BIADA land. Those setting up new industries will get financial assistance under any one of the three options. Interest subsidy up to Rs 40 crore and 100 percent SGST exemption. Reimbursement of SGST for 14 years, which will be up to 300 percent of the project cost. Provision of discount up to 30 percent of the project cost has also been made in capital subsidy.

Other concessions and incentives

* Exemption of up to Rs 40 lakh every year for 14 years to exporting companies.

* For textile units - Those paying monthly salary of Rs 5 thousand per employee will get up to 300% benefit in ESI and EPF.

* For other companies - Those paying monthly salary of Rs 2 thousand per employee will get 100% benefit in ESI and EPF.

* Along with this, incentives will also be given for environmental protection, renewable energy and CFC development.

Chief Secretary Amrit Lal Meena said, this package will remain in force till March 31, 2026. The government hopes that this step will bring large-scale investment in Bihar and the youth will get new employment opportunities and the development of Bihar will be possible rapidly.
