Seven crores in the account, 1500 SIM cards in the house, many laptops, Ruling JDU leader arrested by EOU

The Economic Offences Unit Patna arrested Harshit Mishra from Gosapur village in Supaul district for alleged involvement in a multi-crore cyber fraud case. The youth, who posed as a stock market trader, is under investigation by EOU officials.

The team of Economic Offences Unit Patna has taken a big action in Gosapur village located in Parmanandpur Panchayat under Karjain police station area of Supaul district. The team has arrested Harshit Mishra, a youth of the village. He belongs to a farmer family. For the past few years, he used to call himself a successful trader in the stock market. It is being told that this action is related to fraud of crores and cyber crime. However, the officials are refraining from speaking anything openly about this.

7 crore rupees had come in the account

A team of about 25 to 30 officials who came in 8 Scorpios started the raid at 2 pm on Saturday. In the action that lasted for about 19 hours, dozens of SIM inserting gadgets, hundreds of SIM cards, dozens of mobiles, laptops, biometric devices, note counting machines and many other items were seized from Harshit's house. During interrogation, Harshit was also found with a mobile and laptop which was linked to the bank account in which Rs 7 crore was deposited. This account was already frozen by the cyber police. On this basis, the team has taken action. About three dozen members of the EOU Patna team, Supaul SP and Cyber police station officials were involved in this action. During the action, EOU and local police refused to say anything to the media. After interrogation and paperwork, Harshit was taken to Patna. Regarding this, Karjain police station in-charge Lalji Prasad said that the matter is of economic unit. Before this, no criminal history of his is registered in this police station.

Money was taken from father by selling land in the name of share trading

According to the villagers, Harshit is 27 years old. He is the elder son of Vikas Mishra. Father is a farmer. Grandfather Ghanshyam Mishra has been the head of the Panchayat. Earlier the family had more than 50 bighas of land, which was gradually sold. Harshit was sent to Forbesganj and then Patna for studies. Three years ago, Harshit made his father sell land and took money in the name of share trading. After this, he used to come to the village sometimes.

He left BJP and joined JDU three months ago

Harshit used to roam around with a BJP flag and two bouncers on his Scorpio car. People believed that he was earning from the share market. Some time ago, he had also demanded a bodyguard from the government. However, his application was rejected during investigation. Earlier, he was a BJP worker. But he joined JDU three months ago. Due to his proximity to big leaders, he was made the state secretary of JDU Yuva Morcha. After the action, many kinds of speculations are being made in the village. There is silence in the village. An old man said that Harshit's behavior had changed for the last few years.
