CM Nitish tweeted

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said in his tweet that since his government was formed in November 2005, a lot of work has been done to improve health services. He praised the important role of Asha (Accredited Social Health Activist) and Mamta (Maternity Aides and Motivators for Awareness) workers in strengthening health services, especially in rural areas. This honorarium increase has been decided to honor the tireless contribution of these workers and with the aim of further strengthening health services in rural areas. As per the announcement, ASHA workers will now be provided with an incentive of ₹3,000 per month instead of ₹1,000. This is a significant increase that recognizes their services and will motivate them to work better.

Now they will get 600 per delivery

Similarly, the incentive amount given to Mamta workers per delivery has been increased from ₹300 to ₹600. This increase will double their efforts towards safe delivery and maternal-child health in rural areas.

The Chief Minister expressed confidence that this decision will further boost the morale of ASHA and Mamta workers, which will further strengthen health services in rural areas. This step will not only improve the lives of these workers but will also help in ensuring access to better health services to remote areas of Bihar. This decision of the government reflects its commitment towards these employees working at the grassroots level in the health sector.
