Doctors Protest in Shajapur, Black Band Demonstration in Support of Doctor Accused in Chhindwara Syrup Scandal

Shajapur, Chhindwara: Doctors at the District Hospital in Shajapur protested by raising slogans and wearing black bands against a doctor who was accused in the case of children who died after consuming cough syrup. Doctors in Shajapur protested by wearing black bands on Thursday against a doctor who was accused in the Chhindwara syrup scandal. The doctors stated that an online meeting of the executive body of the Progressive Medical Teachers Association was held. The meeting condemned the action taken against Dr. Praveen Soni, and all members unanimously decided to protest by wearing black bands starting October 9th. The doctors maintain that the doctor is not at fault in this entire incident. According to them, the syrup should have been tested by the Food and Drug Administration, as doctors have no authority to test medicines.
