Satna, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav arrived in Satna on Sunday to pay tribute to the late Shankarlal Tiwari, a former MLA and a democracy activist. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav first visited the late Tiwari's residence in Subhash Park and met with the bereaved family and consoled them. He prayed for the peace of the departed soul and said that the contributions made by the late Tiwari to public service and the protection of democracy will always be remembered. The Chief Minister then attended the memorial service held at the Town Hall. Describing the late Tiwari's social and political life as inspirational, he said that he was a leader of simplicity, honesty, and a dedication to public welfare. Public representatives, administrative officials, social workers, and a large number of citizens from the district attended the memorial service. They all observed a two-minute silence to pay tribute to the late leader. The Chief Minister said that personalities like the late Shankarlal Tiwari are role models for society and his service will always inspire.
