Anandpur police station of Bengal handed over 4 accused to Patna Police, court sent them on transit remand
In a joint operation, Bihar and West Bengal Police arrested five accused in the Chandan Mishra murder case from Kolkata’s Satellite Township on July 19. The Alipur court granted transit remand to transfer them to Patna. Mishra was shot dead on July 17 at Paras Hospital, Patna.

During a joint operation of West Bengal Police and Bihar Police, the suspected accused of Chandan Mishra murder case have been arrested from Kolkata. Police of Anandpur police station of Bengal handed over the four accused to be brought to Patna to Bihar Police late on Sunday night. Earlier, the local court of Alipur sent the accused to Patna on transit remand.
Alipur court ordered to hand over the accused to Bihar Police
It is worth noting that West Bengal Police conducted a raid along with the team of Bihar Police, after which the accused were arrested on July 19 from a residential complex located in Satellite Township of the metropolis. After this, the accused were produced in the local court. Alipur Court gave permission to hand over the accused to Bihar Police and take them to Bihar on transit remand.
Murder happened in Patna hospital on 17th July, accused arrested from Bengal
Notorious criminal Chandan Mishra, admitted for treatment in Paras Hospital, Patna, was shot dead on 17th July. 5 shooters were seen in the CCTV footage of the hospital. They were led by Tausif Badshah.
Five people were arrested on 19th July
At least five people were arrested from New Town near Kolkata on 19th July in this murder case. Bihar Police and West Bengal Police conducted a joint operation to nab the accused.
