RSS District Pracharak Assaulted in Betul, Tensions Escalate in Multai, Five Accused Arrested

Betul, Tension spread in Multai, Betul district, Madhya Pradesh, on Thursday evening after RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh) District Pracharak Shishupal Yadav was assaulted. It was reported that some youths attacked Yadav following the altercation, leaving him injured.

According to reports, Shishupal Yadav was traveling on a bike when he got into an argument with some youths. It is said that one of the youths hit his bike, leading to an argument between the two parties, which escalated into a physical altercation. As news of the incident spread, panic gripped the city. Large numbers of people from both communities took to the streets. Crowds gathered in the Gandhi Chowk and bus stand areas, and slogans began to be raised. In response to the situation, the police administration immediately took charge.

The Collector, Superintendent of Police, Sub-Divisional Officer (SDOP), and the Station House Officer (SHO) arrived at the scene with a heavy police force. Police have detained five accused, and a search is underway for others. The protesters have demanded the immediate arrest of the remaining accused and the removal of their encroachments. Police are currently deployed in sensitive areas of the city, and the situation is being closely monitored. The administration has appealed for peace and stated that no one will be allowed to disrupt law and order.

RSS worker Devraj Lokhande said that the attack on a prominent RSS worker has caused outrage in the community. We demand the arrest of all the accused and the immediate removal of their encroachments.
