Nature's wrath in Uttarkashi! Cloudburst wreaks havoc, 4 people died due to floods in the mountains; many missing
A severe cloudburst in Dharali, Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand triggered flash floods, sweeping away houses and hotels. At least 4 people have died and over 50 are missing. SDRF, NDRF, ITBP, Army, and state authorities are conducting large-scale rescue operations.

Nature's wrath was seen in Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand on Tuesday. Cloudburst in Dharali of Uttarkashi caused floods in the rivers, due to which the nearby houses were swept away like a pack of cards. So far, 4 people have been reported dead in this accident, while many people are feared to be buried under the debris. In the video that has surfaced, it can be seen that due to the severe cloudburst, there was a flood of water in the river, due to which many houses and hotels were swept away in the strong flow of water. According to local villagers, 20-25 hotels and homestays have been completely destroyed. At present, more than 50 people are reported to be missing, for whose search the administration and relief teams are making continuous efforts.
Amit Shah and CM Dhami expressed condolences
As soon as the incident was reported, Uttarkashi Police, SDRF, Army and other rescue teams reached the spot quickly and started relief and rescue operations. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has expressed grief on social media and said that he himself is keeping an eye on the situation and is in constant touch with senior officials. The state government has alerted the district administration, NDRF, SDRF and Health Department. Expressing grief over the incident, Amit Shah tweeted and wrote, "Talked to the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand regarding the incident of flash flood in Dharali (Uttarkashi), Uttarakhand and got information about the incident. The nearest 3 teams of ITBP have been sent there, as well as 4 teams of NDRF have also been dispatched to the spot, which will reach soon and engage in rescue work.
Rescue operation continues
According to Chief Secretary of Chief Minister's Office R.K. Sudhanshu, District Officer and SP have left for the spot. There is a possibility of heavy loss of life and property in the area, although clear information about the casualties has not been received yet. Garhwal Division Commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey also said that the priority of the rescue teams is to evacuate the trapped people safely. The army and health department teams are also in alert mode. With the joint efforts of the government and the administration, it is expected that the loss of life and property can be minimized soon by speeding up the relief and rescue operations. Until the situation becomes normal, the people of the area are appealing to remain alert.
