The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy to very heavy rains on Saturday, 23 August in 9 districts of South Bihar including the capital Patna. Orange alert has been issued in 4 districts including Gayaji, and yellow alert in the rest. During this time, there will be a danger of lightning along with strong winds in entire South Bihar. However, monsoon activities will be less visible in North Bihar on Saturday.

There is a warning of heavy rain at one or two places in Patna district on Saturday. Apart from Patna, the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for heavy rain in Bhojpur, Buxar, Rohtas and Jamui districts. At the same time, an orange alert has been issued for very heavy rain at some places in Gayaji, Kaimur, Aurangabad and Nawada districts.

There is also a possibility of a significant change in the maximum and minimum temperature for the next three days. Apart from this, the wind will blow at a speed of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour. At the same time, most of the districts in the remaining parts of South Bihar are also likely to receive moderate rain with thunder and lightning. On Friday, heavy rains occurred in many areas of Patna. During this time, 20.1 mm of water fell in the capital.

Within the last 24 hours, the maximum temperature of Patna also fell by one degree. The maximum temperature was 33 degrees, while the minimum was 28.5 degrees Celsius. At the same time, West Champaran received the highest rainfall of 53 mm. Drizzle also occurred in Supaul and Purnia.
