Patna: Monsoon effect continues in Bihar with cloudy skies, thunder, lightning and scattered rain in 14 districts. Winds at 30–40 km/h expected in north-central and north-east regions. Maximum temperature may rise by 2–4°C in 48 hours. Patna recorded 33.9°C, while Wazirganj in Gaya saw the highest rainfall of 76.2 mm.

Monsoon in Bihar

Patna, the state is witnessing a mixed effect of monsoon. According to the Meteorological Center Patna, on Wednesday, 14 districts including the capital will remain cloudy with thunder, lightning and scattered rainfall at some places.

There is a possibility of wind blowing at a speed of 30-40 km per hour in the north-central and north-east parts. There is a forecast of an increase of two to four degrees in the maximum temperature of most parts during 48 hours.

On Tuesday, the effect of humidity remained with the movement of clouds in Patna and surrounding areas. An increase in the maximum temperature of the districts including the capital was recorded.
The maximum temperature of the capital was recorded at 33.9 degrees Celsius with an increase of two degrees. The highest maximum temperature was recorded in Valmiki Nagar with 36.2 degrees Celsius.

During the last 24 hours, the highest rainfall of 76.2 mm was recorded in Wazirganj of Gayaji in the state.

Rainfall situation in major cities: 70 mm in Indrapuri of Rohtas, 23 mm in Manpur of Gayaji, 21.4 mm in Raghopur of Vaishali, 19.8 mm in Maharajganj of Siwan.

14.8 mm rain was recorded in Sandesh of Bhojpur, 10.2 mm in Jiradei of Siwan, 7.0 mm in Tekari of Gayaji, 6.4 mm in Sarai of Muzaffarpur, 6.0 mm in Dehri, 5.8 mm in Nokha of Rohtas and 5.4 mm in Akbarpur of Nawada.
