Forest department team attacked while removing encroachment from forest land in Katni's Biharia

Katni, Sleemanabad SDOP Akanksha Chaturvedi said that the forest department team had reached Biharia village to remove illegal encroachment, where the villagers were preparing for farming by ploughing with bullocks. During the stoppage, the dispute escalated and the villagers attacked the forest workers. The attack was immediately reported to Dhimarkheda police station, after which the police reached the spot. On the complaint of the forest department, the police have registered a case against five accused under serious sections including assault and obstruction in government work. At present, all the accused are absconding, who are being searched. There is an atmosphere of resentment in the department after this assault on the forest workers. The injured officers have been given first aid.
