Conspiracy to wage jihad against India, Help from terrorist organizations, raids on 21 locations in five states
The NIA conducted raids across 5 states and Jammu & Kashmir in an ISIS-linked terror conspiracy case. Digital devices and objectionable documents were seized during the operation.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has conducted raids in five states and one union territory in connection with a terrorist conspiracy case involving ISIS and other terrorist organizations. The case is related to a conspiracy to wage jihad against India. The accused were taking help from terrorist organizations in Pakistan/Syria to succeed in their purpose. In the raids conducted at 21 locations in five states and one union territory, many digital devices including mobile phones have also been recovered along with objectionable documents.
The NIA conducted this raid on Monday. It included Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu as well as the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. The NIA, which took over the case from the Kayyar police in Chengalpattu district of Tamil Nadu in June this year, has conducted the said raid on the basis of strong evidence. The case began with the arrest of a man named Akhlathur alias Mohammed Akhlaq Mujahid, who allegedly conspired with others to carry out terrorist activities in India.
According to the NIA, the purpose of this conspiracy was to mobilize people to wage jihad against India in collaboration with banned terrorist organizations. Not only this, the accused also devised a strategy to mobilize material support. According to the NIA investigation, the accused was in contact with these terrorist organizations through social media platforms. Apart from this, he has also been found to have links with many organizations in Pakistan and Syria.
