PM expressed grief over the devastation in Uttarkashi, Took stock of the situation from CM Dhami
PM Modi, Amit Shah, JP Nadda, and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh expressed grief over the Uttarkashi cloudburst tragedy in Dharali, Uttarakhand. Indian Army, SDRF, NDRF, and state agencies are conducting large-scale relief and rescue operations to assist victims and minimize losses.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed grief over the massive devastation caused by cloudburst in Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand and took stock of the situation from CM Pushkar Singh Dhami. PM Modi said that relief and rescue teams are making every possible effort under the supervision of the state government. PM Modi tweeted, 'I express my condolences to the people affected by this tragedy in Dharali, Uttarkashi. Along with this, I wish well to all the victims. I have inquired about the situation by talking to Chief Minister Pushkar Dhami. Relief and rescue teams are making every possible effort under the supervision of the state government. No stone is being left unturned to provide help to the people.'
At the same time, Home Minister Amit Shah also inquired about the accident from CM Dhami. He wrote, 'Talked to the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand regarding the incident of flash flood in Dharali (Uttarkashi), Uttarakhand and inquired about the incident. BJP National President JP Nadda expressed grief over the Uttarkashi tragedy. He wrote, the news of many people being killed due to sudden cloudburst in Dharali village of Uttarkashi is extremely heart-wrenching. The relief and rescue team, including the Uttarakhand government, is fully prepared to provide immediate assistance to the victims. In this hour of crisis, all the BJP workers of the state are engaged in all possible help to the victims. I express my condolences to the bereaved families.
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said, 'I have seen disturbing scenes of devastation caused by sudden floods in Uttarkashi (Uttarakhand). I wish well for the people affected by this tragedy. The central and state governments are working together and taking all possible steps to save precious lives.'
Meanwhile, the Surya Command of the Indian Army shared a post on X and gave information about the tragedy. He said, a major landslide occurred in Dharali village in Khirgarh area near Harshil, due to which a sudden flow of debris and water started in the settlement. Ibex Brigade personnel were immediately deployed and reached the affected site to assess the situation and carry out rescue operations. Along with the Indian Army, the police, fire department, State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), and National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) are also engaged in relief and rescue operations at the spot.
