On Kanshi Ram's death anniversary, Mayawati praised the Yogi government and asked sharp questions to Akhilesh Yadav; 10 key points from the speech
At a Lucknow rally on Kanshi Ram's death anniversary, Mayawati announced BSP will contest 2027 UP polls alone, attacking BJP, SP, and Congress.
Lucknow, On the occasion of the death anniversary of BSP founder Kanshi Ram, party chief Mayawati held a major rally in Lucknow. The rally took place at the Kanshi Ram Memorial in Lucknow. Addressing the rally, Mayawati fiercely targeted the BJP, Congress, and Samajwadi Party. At the rally, Mayawati announced that her party, the BSP, would not form an alliance with any party in the 2027 UP Assembly elections. Mayawati stated that alliances have always harmed her party.
1- The BSP will no longer form an alliance
Mayawati stated that the party will contest the UP Assembly elections alone. The BSP will not form an alliance with anyone. "Our party has not benefited from contesting alliances in UP or other parts of the country. Our votes are transferred, but not to other parties. Our vote percentage is low. Even if coalition governments are formed, they do not last long." Once, we contested the assembly elections with the Congress and once with the SP, but won only 67 seats. In 2007, we formed a majority government alone.
2-Mayawati Praises the Yogi Government
BSP Chief Mayawati said that when our government was in power in Uttar Pradesh and this memorial was built in honor of Kanshi Ram, our government had made a provision to collect tickets from visitors. The money would be used for the maintenance of the memorials and parks built in Lucknow. However, sadly, before the current BJP government, the SP government held back the ticket money... The condition had deteriorated significantly.
I wrote a letter to the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, requesting that the ticket money be used for maintenance. The current BJP government in Uttar Pradesh took cognizance of this matter and promised that all the money received from tickets would be used for the maintenance of these sites. Mayawati said, "I am grateful to the state government for getting the Kanshi Ram Memorial repaired." He didn't keep the ticket money. He used the ticket money for repairs.
3- Mayawati Targets Akhilesh Yadav
Taking aim at Akhilesh Yadav, Mayawati said that before the BJP government, when the SP government was in power, the SP government had withheld funds. All the monuments were in a bad state. All the money was withheld. During that time, a letter was even written to the Chief Minister to use the ticket money for the maintenance of the monuments, but nothing was done. Now that they are out of power, they will hold a seminar on Kanshi Ram's death anniversary. When they are in power, they don't remember the people.
Mayawati said, "I want to ask Akhilesh Yadav why he changed the names of cities and universities named after Kanshi Ram when he was in power? When they are not in power, they remember the great man and the BJP. Due to the lack of repairs at the Kanshi Ram memorial, people were unable to offer flowers there, but now that the repairs have been done, the crowds have increased."
4- Accused SP of misleading
Addressing the rally, Mayawati said that the Samajwadi Party is misleading people by talking about the PDA for its own political gain. When the SP was in power, it showed bias in reservations. The SP government encouraged mafia goons and deteriorated law and order.
5- Denying reports of meeting with Azam Khan
Without naming Azam Khan, Mayawati said that rumors had started spreading last month that someone from another party was joining the BSP and had met Mayawati in Delhi and Lucknow. "I have not met anyone; I do not meet anyone secretly."
6- Mayawati also targeted the Congress
Mayawati also targeted the BJP and the Congress. She said that the same situation exists under the BJP government. The Congress governments in Uttar Pradesh did nothing for the Dalits. Now they keep staging dramas by using the Constitution. The Congress never respected Baba Saheb Ambedkar and Kanshi Ram.
7- Accused the BJP of making false promises to Dalits
Mayawati said that the BJP government also makes false promises to Dalits. Therefore, strengthen the BSP and bring it back to power at the center and in the state. Strengthen the BSP in other states where elections are being held. It is crucial to form a majority government in Uttar Pradesh again.
8- Conspiracy to weaken the BSP
The BSP chief said that the BSP should be strengthened in the Bihar Assembly elections as well. Now a new conspiracy is being hatched across the country to weaken the BSP. Some people have formed organizations using selfish and sellable members of the Dalit community to weaken the BSP. You should not waste your vote by voting for such people. Vote for the BSP so that the BSP can form the government in Uttar Pradesh again.
9- Mayawati gave advice to those running the I Love You campaign
Mayawati said that all religions should be respected. Centuries-old traditions should be respected, but there should be no I Love You campaign.
10- Said this about Akash Anand
BSP chief Mayawati said about her nephew, "Akash Anand has also joined the party. This is a good thing. Just as the party members have stood by me, the party members will stand by Akash Anand. Anand Kumar has also done a lot of work."
BSP's graph is continuously falling
- Mayawati formed a majority government in UP in 2007.
- In 2007, the BSP received 30.43 percent of the vote and won 208 seats.
- In the 2012 assembly elections, she received 25.91 percent of the vote and won 80 seats.
- In the 2017 assembly elections, the BSP received 22.12 percent of the vote and won 19 seats.
- In the 2022 assembly elections, she received 12.80 percent of the vote and won one seat.
Thus, Mayawati's vote share is continuously falling. The BSP has one MLA in the UP Legislative Assembly and no MPs in the Lok Sabha.
