Two men were killed and four others seriously injured in a tragic road accident near Musapur Chowk, Purnia, when a speeding truck hit a CNG auto. The deceased were identified as Devcharan Rishi and Praveen Rishi. The injured are undergoing treatment at GMCH Hospital and remain in critical condition

Horrific Road Accident in Purnia.

Purnia, Two young men were tragically killed and four others seriously injured in a horrific road accident on Tuesday in Purnia. The accident occurred near Musapur Chowk in the Koira police station area when a speeding truck hit a CNG auto. The deceased have been identified as Devcharan Rishi (25) of the Mufussil police station area and Praveen Rishi (35), a resident of Maranga Gangeli. The injured include Hira Lal Mandal, a resident of Badalpur Harda, Hero Rishi, his wife Akashi Devi, and sister-in-law Anjali Kumari. All the injured are undergoing treatment at GMCH Hospital in Purnia and are reported to be in critical condition.

The injured were immediately rushed to GMCH Hospital.

The injured, Hero Rishi, stated that he was traveling with his wife and sister-in-law in a CNG auto to his in-laws' house in Kheria. Meanwhile, near Musapur Chowk, a speeding truck coming from Kursela hit the auto-rickshaw. The impact was so severe that the auto-rickshaw was severely damaged. Two people, including the driver, died on the spot. Following the accident, people nearby rushed to help and informed the police. With the help of locals and police, all the injured were immediately rushed to GMCH Hospital.

Family in mourning

Sadanand Rishi, father of the deceased Praveen Rishi, said that Praveen was soon going to Punjab to earn a living. He was taking an auto-rickshaw from his home via Gedabari to Katihar, but was hit by a truck at Musapur Chowk. Upon hearing the news of Praveen's death, the family was plunged into mourning. His father said that Praveen was a laborer and supported the entire family. When Praveen's wife saw her husband's body, she burst into tears.

Upon learning of the incident, the Phanishwar Nath Renu TOP police arrived at the scene and took both bodies into custody and sent them for post-mortem. Police have seized the truck and initiated further legal action.
