Saharanpur, District Magistrate Manish Bansal inaugurated the Eighth National Nutrition Month at the Upper Primary School in Manoharpur village, part of the Child Development Project, Baliyakhedi, under the Child Development Services and Nutrition Department. Upon his arrival at the Anganwadi center, District Magistrate Manish Bansal was welcomed by the children at the center. The District Magistrate urged Anganwadi workers to work with special attention to the health of children and pregnant women. He fed five children and provided them with nutrition packets. Five pregnant women also attended the baby shower. District Magistrate Manish Bansal encouraged Anganwadi workers who provide nutrition and care to the nation's foundation children and their caregivers, pregnant/lactating women, and promote the overall development of children through pre-school education. He also encouraged the ITC workers. The IGD inspected the stall set up under Mission Sunhara Kal and engaged with the children at the Anganwadi center, encouraging them through coloring and other activities. On this occasion, a health camp was organized, where eligible beneficiaries were registered under the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY), information related to the scheme was provided to other attendees, and children were provided with playful activities as part of a health and nutrition awareness program. Pregnant women were screened, their BMI and anemia were checked, and they were provided with health-enhancing medicines. The District Magistrate distributed ECCE-related books to children at Anganwadi centers. The District Magistrate, Chief Development Officer, and District Program Officer organized a tree plantation under the theme "One Tree for Mother," planting drumsticks, curry leaves, lemons, amla, and basil. During the program, the Prime Minister and Chief Minister's speeches regarding Nutrition Month were shown to the beneficiaries and the public through live telecast. Chief Development Officer Sumit Rajesh Mahajan, District Program Officer Durgesh Pratap Singh, Child Development Project Officer-City Rachit Goyal, Child Development Project Officer-Rampur Maniharan Pankaj Kumar and all the newly selected Chief Servants were present in the program.
