On Wednesday, CM Yogi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 545 projects worth Rs 2264 crore to take Bareilly forward on a new path of development. This includes important schemes like development of Nath corridor, flood protection, bridge and bypass construction, Unani medical college, road widening and rural drinking water. He said that these schemes are not just buildings, but are the form of public expectations. Bareilly is now becoming a centre of spiritual tourism instead of a city of riots.
Targeted opposition parties too…
While addressing the public meeting, CM Yogi targeted the opposition parties and said that some people conspire to defame the Kanwar Yatra. But they fail due to the vigilance of the administration and the awareness of the public. He said that now the Kanwar Yatra has become a symbol of social unity and not communalism. In Bareilly, lakhs of devotees have set an example of faith by performing Jalabhishek in the Nath corridor. This Yatra shows the strength of the peace and culture of the state.
