Bhagalpur, shocking news has come out from Bhagalpur before the Bihar assembly elections. The Home Ministry's investigation has revealed that the names of two women from Pakistan were registered in the voter list and their voter ID cards were also made. As soon as the matter came to light, there was a stir in the administration. When the Home Ministry started investigating foreigners living in India even after the visa period expired, three Pakistani citizens were confirmed to be living in Bhagalpur, including two women Imrana Khanam alias Imrana Khatoon and Firdausia Khanam.
These two women who came from Pakistan were living in Bhikhanpur Gumti No. 3, Tank Lane of Ishakchak police station area of Bhagalpur. Investigation of this case has revealed that the citizenship of these two women was never changed in India, yet their names were added to the voter list. Their names have not been deleted till now, it will be investigated.
Strict action will be taken for negligence
After the report of the Special Branch, strict action has been recommended from the DM and SSP. Bhagalpur DM Dr. Naval Kishore Chaudhary has confirmed that the process of removing the names of both Pakistani women from the voter list has been started. Along with this, it is also being seen that due to whose negligence such a serious mistake happened. At the same time, a different claim has been made by the family.
Firdausia Khanam's son Mohammad Guluz says that his mother was born in 1945 and she is living here. He says that despite submitting all the documents, wrong information has been given in the report. At present, this whole matter has raised serious questions on the credibility of the voter list and the functioning of the local administration.
