Tragic accident in Pavagadh temple of Gujarat, Ropeway wire broke; six people died

A tragic accident occurred near Pavagarh Shakti Peeth in Gujarat when a cargo ropeway wire broke, causing chaos and mourning at the religious site. Laborers and two others are said to be involved. This accident happened around 3:30 pm. Panchmahal Collector and Superintendent of Police Harish Dudhat have confirmed the incident. After the accident, there was an atmosphere of chaos in the entire area.

As soon as the information about the accident was received, police and fire brigade teams immediately reached the spot. Relief and rescue work was started. Administration teams are stationed at the spot. In the initial investigation, the cause of the accident is said to be the breakage of the wire. At present, the technical reasons are being investigated in depth.

The ropeway for passengers was closed since morning

Pavagarh hill is located at a height of about 800 meters. Devotees reach the temple either by climbing 2000 stairs or by ropeway. However, the ropeway service for passengers was closed since Saturday morning due to bad weather. The accident happened in the cargo ropeway, which is used to carry goods.

In this case, Minister Rushikesh Patel said that the accident happened near tower number-one, when the wire of the goods carrying bogie suddenly broke and the bogie fell down. All the bodies have been recovered and sent for postmortem. The District Collector has formed an investigation committee and the primary report will be submitted to the government.

Mourning spreads at religious place
Pavagarh Shakti Peeth is a temple dedicated to Maa Kali. This place is the main religious center of Gujarat, where about 25 lakh devotees reach for darshan every year. After the accident, there is an atmosphere of mourning and panic in the temple premises and surrounding areas. People are expressing concern about the accident and raising questions on the security arrangements.

The truth will be revealed through technical investigation
The administration says that the real reason of the accident will be clear only after technical investigation. At present, the families of the deceased have been assured of all possible help. At the same time, this accident has raised many serious questions about the safety of the devotees.

Three engineering students killed in another accident
Three students of an engineering college were killed and eight others injured when an SUV overturned in Rajkot district. The accident took place near Jangwad village in Jasdan taluka at 1:30 am on Saturday. The deceased have been identified as Naresh Kodavati (19), Moti Harsh (17) and Afridi Syed (17) from Andhra Pradesh.

Inspector RS Sakaria said that 12 students of Rajkot's RK University were going to Diu for holidays. The student driving the car lost control at a turn, causing the car to overturn. Two of the eight injured students have been discharged from the hospital after first aid. The bodies of the deceased were sent to Rajkot Civil Hospital for postmortem.
