In compliance with the directives of Saharanpur District Magistrate Manish Bansal, licenses have been issued for the sale of temporary fireworks for three days, from October 18th to 20th, during the Diwali festival. Officer-in-Charge (Fire) Kuldeep Singh stated that 40 shops at the Maha Singh College Ground in the Janakpuri police station area, 36 shops at the J.V. Jain Degree College ground on Malhipur Road in the Sadar Bazaar area, 26 shops at the GGIC Ground on Behat Road in the Kotwali Nagar area, 37 shops in the vacant ground in front of the Circuit House in the Kutusher area, and 25 shops in the vacant ground on ITI Delhi Road in the Sadar Bazaar area have been issued temporary licenses for the sale of fireworks. Mr. Kuldeep Singh stated that the practice of a fireworks licensee not operating his own shop but instead handing it over to someone else is a violation of the license's conditions and the Explosives Act. He directed the concerned police station in-charge to regularly inspect fireworks shops. If a fireworks licensee is found not operating his own business, his fireworks inventory should be immediately confiscated and legal action should be taken against him.
