Saharanpur | Deoband, The birth anniversary of immortal hero, revolutionary martyr Pandit Chandrashekhar Azad was celebrated with great enthusiasm in Hanuman Dham located in the premises of Maa Bala Sundari temple in Deoband. The meeting was chaired by Mahant Pandit Sant Sharma of Hanuman Dham and was conducted by the program coordinator, young Brahmin leader Rohit Kaushik. During this, the speakers said that immortal martyr, revolutionary Pandit Chandrashekhar Azad will always be a source of inspiration for the youth. He sacrificed himself for the country. Today's youth should work by taking inspiration from Pandit Chandrashekhar Azad. Social worker Vinay Pandit said that Pandit Chandrashekhar Azad was born on 23 July 1906 in Bhabra village of Madhya Pradesh. He was a great Indian revolutionary who fought for the independence of India. His real name was Chandrashekhar Tiwari, but he adopted the name "Azad" when he was arrested by the British for participating in the non-cooperation movement at the age of 15. Keeping his pledge of never getting caught by the British, he shot himself in Alfred Park, Allahabad on February 27, 1931 and attained martyrdom.
Program coordinator young Brahmin leader Rohit Kaushik said that many freedom fighters sacrificed their lives to liberate India. One name among those great freedom fighters is 'Chandrashekhar Azad'. Although his real name was Chandrashekhar Tiwari, there is a story behind how Azad became his identity. Azad used to say 'We will face the enemy's bullets, we are free and will remain free. Young Brahmin leader Shubham Vats and BJP Yuva Morcha city president Shubham Tyagi said that Pandit Chandrashekhar Azad received his early education in Bhavra and later went to Kashi Vidyapeeth, Banaras for higher education, at a young age, he got involved in revolutionary activities. Acharya Suryansh, Mohit Pandit, Vishal Pandit, Vinay Pandit, Siddharaj Kaushik, Tushar Sharma, Acharya Vasudev Bhardwaj, Mukul, Akash, Kanhaiya, Sawant Sharma, Ashish Sharma etc. were present in the program.
