Pakistan refuses to stop!, Third Pakistani drone intrusion attempt in J&K in a week

Incidents of suspected Pakistani drones being spotted across the border in Poonch, Jammu and Kashmir, have once again raised concerns among security agencies. Despite a stern warning from Indian Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi, drone activity near the international border and the Line of Control (LoC) continues unabated. In the latest incidents, drone-like objects were spotted in the Samba district and Poonch region of Jammu and Kashmir, prompting the army and security forces to immediately take action.

According to reports, a suspected Pakistani drone was spotted near the international border in Keso Mahsan village of Ramgarh sector in Samba district. A high alert was declared in the entire area, and anti-drone measures were activated. Security agencies suspect that these drones are being used for surveillance or other suspicious activities from across the border.

Drone hovered for 10 minute

Meanwhile, a drone-like object was also seen hovering over Degwar village in Poonch district for about ten minutes around 7:30 PM. Considering the seriousness of the situation, the Indian Army fired several rounds to neutralize it. However, it is unclear whether the drone was shot down or returned across the border. Following the incident, security forces intensified search and surveillance operations throughout the area.

This is the third incident of drones being spotted across the border in Jammu and Kashmir in the last few days. Earlier, Pakistani drones were also sighted in the Dungala-Nabla area of ​​the Rajouri sector, on which the army fired as per standard procedure. These continuous incidents are being viewed as a serious security challenge.

Army Chief's Warning
On Tuesday, Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi clearly stated that India has put Pakistan on 'notice' regarding drone activities. He said that during talks at the Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) level, India raised the issue of drone intrusions with Pakistan and made it clear that such actions are unacceptable. General Dwivedi stated that the Indian Army is fully alert and prepared to give a befitting response to any misadventure.

According to the Army Chief, these drones are being used to monitor Indian activities. However, the reappearance of the drones just hours after the warning raises questions about Pakistan's intentions. Currently, security arrangements have been further strengthened on the western front under Operation Sindoor. The army and other security agencies are maintaining round-the-clock surveillance. Experts believe that attempts at infiltration and surveillance using drones may increase in the future, making India's anti-drone strategy and technology even more crucial.
