Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar died in a plane crash. The incident has shaken the political world. Four other people also lost their lives in the accident. The private plane crashed while landing at the airport.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed grief over his death. Paying tribute, he said on X (formerly Twitter) that the death of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar and other members in the unfortunate plane crash in Baramati, Maharashtra, is extremely sad and heartbreaking. My humble tribute to them. My condolences are with the bereaved families.

BSP supremo Mayawati and SP national president Akhilesh Yadav also expressed their condolences and paid tribute to Ajit Pawar.

The BSP supremo issued a statement on X, saying that the death of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and one of the veteran leaders of Maharashtra politics, Nationalist Congress Party leader Ajit Pawar, in a plane crash in Baramati today is extremely sad. My deepest condolences to his family and his party members. May God give them all the strength to bear this sorrow.

A large crowd of people is present at the accident site. The plane is completely destroyed.
