Saharanpur, In compliance with the directives of District Magistrate Manish Bansal, 17,121 players participated in 120 Gram Panchayats of the district on the second day of the sports competitions held at the village level from October 13th to 19th under Operation Savera, aimed at attracting rural youth to sports and preventing drug addiction. The winning players and teams were awarded by local public representatives and teachers. The sports competitions attracted a large crowd of spectators, and children participated enthusiastically.
District Magistrate Manish Bansal urged all children and youth of the district to register on the yuvasathi.in portal and participate in a large number of sports competitions. He said that among the sports being organized, youth and children from rural areas are actively participating in athletics, volleyball, kabaddi, wrestling, badminton, and judo. He said that sports competitions encourage all the best players and awaken interest in sports. Sports are an important part of life for the current lifestyle and for staying healthy.
