Shajapur. Married women will keep fast of Karva Chauth today on Sunday for long life of their husband and will offer water to moon and worship it. A day before this special festival of married women, huge crowd of women gathered in the market on Saturday for shopping. For Karva Chauth, women did a lot of shopping along with Karva and also sixteen adornments. For Karva Chauth fast, women especially bought attractive kundan and pearl studded clothes. Along with this, there was a lot of demand for colorful glass bangles, mehndi, kajal, bindiya. It is worth mentioning that today is the fast of Karva Chauth. According to the belief, by keeping this fast, the husband's life is long and all the troubles coming on him are averted. Due to this tradition and belief, women will fast without drinking water and at night they will worship their husbands with the moon by placing a lamp in a sieve.

There was a lot of purchase of Karvas

It is worth mentioning that clay made Karvas have special importance in the worship of Karva Chauth, due to which the markets were bustling on Saturday for the purchase of Karvas. Although the market has been bustling since Dussehra, but due to Karva Chauth, more crowd of women was seen at the shops. Women bought colorful saris and lehengas. The maximum crowd of women was seen at the bangle shop and clothes shop. Along with this, sieve and Karva were also bought by women in large numbers, due to which there was a hustle and bustle in the market from morning till evening. Traditional shops of Karvas were set up on the Mahupura river, from where women from urban areas as well as women from rural areas also purchased makeup items.
