Indore, the monsoon rains have further enhanced the beauty of the Ralamandal Sanctuary. The lush greenery, pleasant weather, and the opportunity to spend time in nature are attracting a large number of city dwellers. This is why Ralamandal was bustling with tourists during the first three weekends of August. During these six days, 23,767 tourists visited the sanctuary, generating revenue of over 10 lakh rupees for the Forest Department.

Increasing Tourist Crowds on Weekends

Sprawling across an area of ​​approximately 234 hectares, Ralamandal Sanctuary, located a short distance from Indore, is frequented by tourists even on normal days, but the crowds increase manifold on Saturdays and Sundays. The forest's transformed natural landscape during the monsoon season remains its main attraction.

A large number of people arrive in the morning to enjoy the greenery and natural environment, while the number of families and other tourists increases as the day progresses. Young people are visiting here with friends and creating reels and photos for social media.

23,767 tourists arrived in three weekends

Data from the three weekends of August so far clearly illustrate the growing tourism in Ralamandal.

August 1: 1,814 tourists
August 2: 5,986 tourists
August 8: 2,046 tourists
August 9: 4,464 tourists
August 15: 4,235 tourists
August 16: 5,222 tourists

A total of 23,767 tourists arrived in these six days. Significantly, a large number of people also visited during Friendship Day on August 2nd. Following this, more than 5,000 tourists visited Ralamandal again on August 16th.

A special attraction for everyone from young to old

Ralamandal offers options for people of all age groups to explore and enjoy nature. A paved path has been built from the main entrance to the hilltop hunting ground. Separate trekking paths are also available for those who enjoy trekking.

Gypsies are available to reach the hunting ground, while battery-operated eco-friendly golf carts have been provided by the Forest Department to reach the Deer Park. These facilities make it easier for families and elderly tourists to visit.

Weekends are much more crowded than normal days

On average, around 500 tourists visit Ralamandal daily on weekdays. In comparison, the two-day figure on Saturdays and Sundays often exceeds 7,000 to 9,000. This year, a large number of tourists also visited around Independence Day.

With the monsoon, the forest's greenery and pleasant weather have brought a steady increase in tourist numbers to Ralamandal. Statistics show that weekends have become the busiest tourist season for Ralamandal.
