Weather is going to deteriorate before Diwali
Heavy rain is expected in the next 3 days
Patna, before Diwali, the weather of the state including the capital will change. From 23-26 October, the south central and eastern parts of the state including the capital will remain cloudy with wind speed 30-40 km per hour with gusts. There is a possibility of light and sporadic rainfall at some places.
According to the Meteorological Center Patna, there is a possibility of change in weather due to the area of cyclonic circulation and low pressure in the Bay of Bengal during the post monsoon. After three to four days, there is a possibility of gradual drop in minimum temperature due to westerly winds.
Due to the humidity level being 70-80 percent in the morning, the capital and other districts will remain wrapped in a blanket of fog. During the last 24 hours, light rain was recorded in different parts of Kishanganj, West Champaran, Supaul, Sitamarhi. The weather of most parts of the state including Patna remained dry.
Highest rainfall of 18.8 mm was recorded in Tedhagachh of Kishanganj. On Sunday, an increase in maximum temperature was recorded in 18 districts including Patna. Maximum temperature of Patna was 33.1 degree Celsius and Gopalganj recorded the highest maximum temperature with 34.4 degree Celsius.

The rainfall in the monsoon season has been 22 percent less than normal.
The monsoon entered the state on June 20 and left the state on October 13. However, the monsoon's effect was visible in the last two days of June in the district and the farmers were worried seeing less than average rainfall in June-July.
However, in August, due to more than normal rainfall and lightning, the area under cultivation was more (96,869.93 hectares) than the government's estimated target (96,790.32 hectares). However, the paddy crop is in good condition and there is a possibility of good yield from it.
When and how much rainfall occurred in the monsoon
If we talk about Buxar, then in June, the average rainfall was only 42.78 mm as against the normal rainfall figure of 107 mm. In July too, the district received an average rainfall of 200.21 mm, less than the normal rainfall figure of 277.2 mm.
The farmers were worried due to the less rainfall in these two months. But in August there was about 20 per cent more rainfall than the normal rainfall (263 mm), but again in September and before 13 October the district has received less rainfall than the estimated rainfall figures.
