Shajapur, In the fourth phase of Lok Sabha Elections-2024, voters stepped towards the polling stations with the first rays of the sun. Leaving aside the worries of heat and weather, anyone sacrificed his life by voting in the great sacrifice of democracy for a good government. This was the reason that till the time of writing the news, 76.70 percent voting had taken place in the city and 73.20 percent voting had taken place in the entire Lok Sabha constituency. There was a crowd of voters at the polling stations.
Just as the polling parties were sent early in the morning, similarly the voters also exercised their franchise early in the morning. Due to which, by 11 am in the morning, 35.83 percent voters and by 1 pm, about 53 percent voters had exercised their franchise. Due to storm, rain and hailstorm in the afternoon, there was some disruption at the polling stations, but the administrative staff showed promptness and restored the arrangements and the voting continued peacefully without any hindrance till the evening. No news of any kind of incident has been received from anywhere.
Voting was conducted even in boycotted areas
Voter dissatisfaction was visible in some rural areas of the district. Where people were expressing their displeasure by boycotting voting on one issue or the other. After reaching there the officials were successful in convincing the voters. Although not everyone agreed, the administration's efforts were successful to a large extent and voting could be conducted.
Weather changed suddenly, hailstorm accompanied by strong wind
Even in the afternoon, voters came to vote peacefully at their respective polling stations in the city. Then suddenly the weather changed and a strong storm started blowing. Due to which there was chaos for some time. So tents were uprooted at many places. After this, the officials immediately took charge and rectified the arrangements and the voters could vote peacefully.
This time there was more voting than last time
This time the voters showed a lot of enthusiasm compared to Lok Sabha-2019. This was the reason why in the last Lok Sabha elections, 71 percent voting took place in the parliamentary constituency Dewas-Shajapur. This time, till the time of writing the news, 73.20 percent voting had taken place. Whereas 76.70 percent voters in the city had exercised their franchise.
