Giving information in this regard, GRP station in-charge Aruna Vahane said that on October 14, GRP and RPF staff were patrolling and checking the station and outer. During checking, a suspicious person Sumit Nishad alias Gudaku, father Sunil Nishad, age 20 years, resident of Rajendra Kirana, Venkat Ward No. 3, Kotwali Police Station, District Katni, was caught. Who was brought to the police station and interrogated, she found the ladies purse of Mrs. Shivangi Gupta, resident of Ayodhya Nagar, Bhopal, traveling in train 22166 Singrauli Bhopal Express on 17/05/2023, inside which was cash worth Rs. 43300/-, ear tops, gold chain. Admitted to snatching and looting a mobile phone worth Rs 90,300/-. Similarly, on 04/09/2023, he admitted to stealing a ladies purse of Priyanka Bharti, resident of Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, traveling in train 03251, containing documents and Rs 15000/- in cash, out of which Rs 2500/- in cash was seized from the possession of the accused. It was done and on 11/09/2023, Rajkumar Sahu, who was traveling in train 11652 Singrauli Intcity Express, admitted to stealing Rs 20000/- in cash kept in the pant pocket of NKJ, resident of Katni. Out of which Rs 5000/- was seized from the possession of the accused, and on 14/09/2023, a pittu bag of Pramod Dahiya, resident of Gujarati Colony, Gadha Jabalpur, which contained useful clothes and a gold coin, was recovered from Pramod Dahiya, resident of Gujarati Colony, Gadha Jabalpur, who was traveling in the general coach of train 11756 Rewa Itwari Express. Admitted stealing a key chain worth Rs 40000/-, out of which a gold chain worth Rs 31500/- was seized. In another case, on 28/9/2023, Amrit Kumar Mandal, resident of Phultara district, North Pargana (West Bengal), traveling in the general coach of train 12321 Howrah Mail, admitted to stealing a purse containing documents and Rs 1800/- in cash. Rs 1000/- in cash was seized from the possession of the accused.
On 25/09/2023, while boarding train 11466 Somnath Express, passenger Rajkumar Khamparia, resident of Bajrang Colony, NKJ Katni, admitted to stealing the pocket purse containing Rs 2200/- in cash and documents, out of which Rs 1200/- in cash was recovered from the possession of the accused. Seized. In this way, a total of 6 crimes were committed by the accused in police station Haja and the money related to them, worth Rs. 126200/- was seized. The accused was arrested and presented before the Honorable Court.
