Shahdol. An attempt has been made to cut the tongue of a youth and offer it at Siddh Baba Kali temple located in Chirhati village under Khairaha police station area. This incident is being reported on Tuesday afternoon. Khairaha police station in-charge Dilip Singh said that Akash Sahu, son of Santosh Sahu, a youth living in Chirhati village, reached Kali temple located in Siddh Baba in the afternoon. There he tried to cut his tongue and offer it at the Kali temple. The youth tried to cut the tongue with a shaving blade. During this, a lot of blood started flowing from the youth's tongue and he fell unconscious there. Police said that the youth tried to cut the tongue around 3 o'clock in the afternoon. At 6 o'clock in the evening, when another youth from Chirhati village reached the temple, he saw Akash in an unconscious state. He informed the local people. After this, the family reached the spot. Police station in-charge Dilip Singh said that the victim Akash had left his house for JMS to work in the afternoon. When the youth did not reach the work, his search was started. The injured youth was brought to the government hospital in Budhar in a critical condition and from there he was referred to the medical college. According to the information received, the condition of the youth is critical.
