In Doniya, Bhejhari area under Amarkantak forest range and police station of Anuppur district, a violent wild animal tiger has been roaming continuously since last night, which hunted a domestic buffalo, on Monday morning this tiger is resting in the bushes of Lantana in the village of Medhakhar. The forest department and police department are keeping constant vigil and advising the villagers not to go near and to be cautious at night.

It is known that a tiger was seen crossing the village road between Doniya and Bhejhari village by a four wheeler driver on Sunday night, after making a video of which the forest department was informed, on receiving the information, Forest Range Officer Amarkantak Virendra Srivastava along with forest employees kept patrolling the whole night and kept getting information about the identification and location of the tiger. The tiger roaming through the bushes reached Medhakhar village and attacked a 3-year old buffalo grazing in the field of the village's Ishwar Singh Nayak, father of Khuman Nayak, and after killing it, it is eating its meat and resting in the Lentana bushes nearby. The forest department and Amarkantak police station team are keeping a watch throughout the day on Monday. The villagers in the nearby villages are scared on getting to know about the arrival of the tiger. As a large number of villagers have reached to see the tiger, they are being kept away from the spot and are being constantly monitored.
