Shahdol, the incidents of theft in the district are not stopping. Everyday, thefts are taking place by breaking the locks of houses. Now, thieves have stolen the idol of Lord Krishna from the temple in broad daylight. The priest of the temple went to another temple after performing the puja, then unknown thieves carried out this incident. After getting information about the incident, Sohagpur police reached the spot and started investigation. After getting information about the theft of the Lord from the temple, a large crowd of devotees has gathered here.

According to the information, the idol installed in the Radha Krishna temple in Ponnag temple located in front of the Circuit House of Sohagpur police station area has been stolen. This idol is of Lord Krishna. Which was made of ashtadhatu, the priest of the temple Mohan Panda told that on Monday evening around 6:00 pm, he went to another temple after worshiping in Radha Krishna temple and after some time when he reached to close the gate of Radha Krishna temple, the idol of Lord Krishna was missing from there, after which the priest of the temple informed the local people about it. After getting the information, a large number of people gathered here and the information of this incident was given to Sohagpur police.

After getting the information of the incident, we are investigating on the spot with our team. The police station in-charge told that the idol of Lord Krishna was kept in Radha Krishna temple, which has been stolen by some unknown thieves. The incident happened on Monday evening around 6:00 pm, when the priest of the temple reached to close the gate, he saw that the idol of Lord Krishna was missing. The priest has informed us about the matter, we are investigating on the spot with our team. The idol of the Lord will be recovered soon.
