Jamui, 8 miscreants including 2 Home Guard jawans who carried out robbery incidents wearing Bihar Police uniform have been arrested in Jamui. One lakh cash, Scorpio and 9 mobiles have been recovered from them. All the arrested criminals have been sent to jail.

Jamui Police has exposed the gang that carried out robbery and dacoity incidents in Barhat police station area and arrested 8 miscreants. The arrested criminals used to loot and carry out robbery incidents by wearing khaki uniform and showing the power of police. Barhat Police has arrested 8 miscreants on the basis of secret information. The arrested miscreants include Naresh Kumar Sao, Pawan Kumar Mishra, Rakesh Kumar Mishra, Ajay Kumar Mishra, Ranjit Kumar, Dhananjay Kumar Nand Kumar and Umesh Kumar. All are from Lakhisarai and Munger districts.

ADPO Satish Suman told in a press conference on Wednesday that according to preliminary information received from interrogation, this is an organized gang. They call innocent people in Jamui, Lakhisarai, Kyul, Munger on the pretext of installing towers, doubling money in exchange of fake notes, giving fake gold coins and used to carry out robbery by beating them. SDPO told that on Tuesday evening, Barhat police had received secret information that two people named Sikandar Kumar, resident of Numar village of Barhat police station area, had met him near Baba Dhaba of Barhat police station area with 60 thousand rupees in the name of installing a tower. Where 7 to 8 people in police uniform who came in a Scorpio, beat them up and looted the money. On the information of the victim, Barhat police chased all the criminals. Blockades were put up at various places to catch all the criminals. After which the criminals were caught. SDPO told that according to the information received so far, two of the arrested people are Home Guard jawans. In which Munger resident Nand Kumar has recently retired from the post of Home Guard, while Umesh Kumar is a Home Guard Jawan. Police told that all his other associates used to carry out the crime by wearing fake uniforms and fake police name plates.
The mastermind of the entire gang is Naresh Kumar Saw who used to run a cloth business in Dhanbad. He used to rob people there in the same way. Then he formed a gang in his home district and started cheating people in the name of installing towers with fake notes, fake gold coins. It is said that he has carried out many incidents of robbery in Munger, Lakhisarai, Keul. Naresh Kumar Sah already has a case registered against him in Munger Kotwali police station for exchanging fake notes. At present, the police is engaged in further action.
