Anuppur, Collector Mr. Harshal Pancholi has said that the field staff of the health department should ensure better implementation of welfare schemes, programs and campaigns run by the government on the basis of sensitivity and seriousness. He said that all the ANM and Asha workers of the district should work actively. It should be ensured that the examination and treatment of patients identified with serious diseases is done on time as per the prescribed standards of the government. The collector said that the block medical officer should seriously monitor the work being done by the ANM and Asha workers and review the work by organizing meetings from time to time. Collector Mr. Harshal Pancholi was directing the officials in the review meeting of the works of the health department in the Narmada Auditorium located in the Collectorate today.
Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr. A.K. Avadhiya, Civil Surgeon and all the block medical officers of the district including the staff of the health department were present in the meeting.
In the meeting, the Collector directed the officials that there should be better cleanliness system in the district and block hospital and the hospital should look attractive. He said that the Health Department should run the health services in a systematic manner and provide the best possible health facilities to the patients. In the meeting, the Collector obtained information about the registration of pregnant mothers, institutional delivery and home delivery in the ANC ward of the district hospital. During this, the Collector also discussed about the sterilization under the Family Welfare Program and the operations done under the National Blindness Control Program and gave necessary guidelines.
In the meeting, the Collector obtained district-wise information about the vaccination of children and instructed to work seriously according to the prescribed standards of the government after vaccination. He instructed to maintain a list of malaria and dengue under the National Vector Borne Disease Control Program, maternal and infant mortality rate in the district, patients identified under the sickle cell eradication program and such patients who are not getting themselves treated properly and treat them. In the meeting, the Collector also obtained information from the officials regarding deaths due to sickle cell anemia in the district.
In the meeting, the Collector directed the Block Medical Officer to conduct tests for sickle cell anemia on a priority basis in the district. For this, supervisors, ANMs and ASHA workers should work actively at the field level. He also reviewed the progress of Ayushman Card. In the meeting, the Collector received information about the treatment and targets being done under the National Tuberculosis Control Program from the Chief Medical and Health Officer and directed that the condition of the identified tuberculosis patients and medicine distribution should be done on time and medicines should be provided to the patients suffering from serious diseases by visiting their homes and it should also be monitored.
In the meeting, the Collector discussed various issues including Janani Suraksha Yojana, CM Helpline cases, information about children admitted in all community health centers and gave necessary instructions to the health department officials.
