Satna, you must have often seen and heard the entire cabinet including the Chief Ministers of the BJP government and local MPs, MLAs, Mayors, Presidents describing the story of development in exaggerated words. But the ground reality proves enough to expose the claims. For the last twenty-five years, the one-sided dominance of the Bharatiya Janata Party has been prevailing in Madhya Pradesh, while the BJP government has been in power at the center for almost eleven years, even after that, 100 percent basic facilities have not been extended to the common people living in Rewa and Satna cities, which are called the pride of Vindhya Pradesh. There are many such residential areas in both the urban areas where the people living there have not been able to get better transport roads, systematic drains for water drainage, fresh water for drinking. The interesting thing is that the public does pay tax to the Municipal Corporation in lieu of all the public facilities but is deprived of getting its benefits. Neither the corporation administration nor the MPs, MLAs and Mayors have been able to carry out 100% development in the 45 wards each of Rewa and Satna Municipal Corporation limits. Now the question arises that when the entire urban population has not been able to get basic facilities in both the districts, then with what face do the big-mouthed BJP leaders boast about development? The drainage system in both the cities is just a sham, so a rain of an hour or two becomes a problem for the people. The rain that has been happening for the last two days is telling the story of BJP's development in Rewa and Satna cities very well. There are many areas where continuous rain often proves to be a problem for the people living there. Just by making the main roads of the cities sparkling and building flyovers, does the people living in the inner lanes not get public facilities? Sadly, even after knowing this truth, the MPs, MLAs and Mayors do not see anything. Vikas Purush's area is also far from proper development, Satna's condition is worse than bad..

Rewa MLA and Madhya Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla, who made a grand debut in Vindhya politics in 2003, may have been called Vikas Purush by the people influenced by him, but the question arises that his own area, which comes under the municipal corporation limits, has not been able to reach the destination of proper development. There are more than a dozen such residential colonies in the 45 wards of Rewa Municipal Corporation where basic facilities have not reached the residents. Vikas Purush has not been able to do anything special till now for the drainage of rainwater, so continuous rain makes people's breath faster. Due to the lack of effective arrangements in the past years, a large number of people have had to face the devastation of floods. Supply of fresh water to the people of the entire ward still remains a dream. Undoubtedly, the development of bypass, flyover, auditorium, collectorate, bus stand attracts the people passing through the outer part of Rewa city, but when these people enter the inner part, they are stunned to see the reality. Polio-stricken traffic on the narrow roads of the market has become the fate of the people of Rimhi. On the other hand, the condition of Satna city remains on ventilator. The situation has gone from bad to worse during the BJP rule. Despite the invincible MP Ganesh Singh and the constant presence of a BJP face on the mayor's chair, the people of Satna have not got development. The common people have not got any benefit on the ground due to the BJP government in the Municipal Corporation. For the last six years, people are being made to shed tears of blood in the name of sewerage in the Satna Municipal Corporation area. A network of deadly pothole-ridden roads is spread all over the city. Development is not visible anywhere (inside or outside) in Satna city. Satna MP Ganesh Singh has proved to be a failure in terms of development. There is absolutely no hope that the mayor will be able to do anything special in this matter. God knows how many more years it will take for proper development to reach the people living in both cities..?
