On the report of the victim, the Kotwali police registered a case against the accused under various sections and arrested him. After this incident, the atmosphere in the city remained hot for a few hours on Friday night. However, the police, showing readiness, soon normalized the situation.

According to the information, on Friday, a Muslim youth was marrying a Hindu girl at the Palabazar residence of the city, on receiving information about which Bajrang Dal workers reached the spot and stopped the marriage. At the same time, a large number of workers of Hindu organizations raised slogans while gheraoing the Kotwali police station. In view of the situation, a large number of police forces reached the spot. At the same time, SP Puneet Gehlod also reached and controlled the situation. The police have arrested the accused Muslim youth by registering a case under various sections including rape under the provisions of the Freedom of Religion Act.

Appeal not to pay attention to rumors

After this, the accused Mannu asked the girl to get married and had a physical relationship. The accused had not told the girl anything about her religion. After a few days, the accused Mannu appeared to the girl in the market on the day of Moharram festival, then on the question of the girl, the accused Mannu told her real name Shoaib Khan. Also said that I do not belong to your caste, so what if you become a Muslim, I will marry you only. After that, when the girl went to the market on Friday, the accused Mannu alias Shoaib forcibly took her to her house by threatening her, where he told the girl that today your marriage has to be with me. Threatened to kill if not done. On the report of the girl, the police registered against the accused under sections 366, 376, 376(2), 506 IPC, 3(1), (W)(2), 3(2)(1)(VA) ACAT Act, 3/5 Madhya Pradesh Religious Freedom Act. The case has been registered and taken into consideration.
