Shahdol, A reward of Rs 5,000 will be given for giving information and arresting illegal firecracker manufacturers

Shahdol - Under the guidance of Collector and District Magistrate Dr. Kedar Singh, strict action is being taken by the police and district administration against those involved in illegal manufacture and storage of firecrackers in Shahdol district.

In this connection, today in Jaisinghnagar police station area, a joint team of Tehsildar Jaisinghnagar and Police Station Incharge Jaisinghnagar raided the hideout of the accused of illegal storage of firecrackers and seized illegal firecrackers and explosive materials worth about Rs 30,000. According to the information received, on 25 October 2024, information was received that Mohammad Salim Khan, a resident of Jaisinghnagar, has kept illegal firecrackers in his house in the town of Jaisinghnagar for sale. Based on the information, a joint team of police and administration raided the place. During the raid, it was found that the accused has kept illegal firecrackers used in Diwali in his house for sale. When he was asked for a valid license regarding the firecrackers, the accused said that he did not have any license. On searching the spot, the joint team seized various types of firecrackers worth about Rs 30 thousand and a case has been registered against the accused under the section of BNS and Explosives Act.

In this action, Assistant Sub Inspector Pramod Kumar, Head Constable Narendra and Lala Prasad have played an important role under the leadership of Tehsildar Jaisinghnagar Smt. Sushma Singh Uike and Police Station Incharge Jaisinghnagar Shri Satyendra Prasad Chaturvedi.

Collector and District Magistrate Dr Kedar Singh has told the dignitaries and villagers that a reward of Rs 5,000 will be given to those who provide information and help in catching the illegal stockists and manufacturers of firecrackers.
