Satna, our Satna is definitely an important part of the country's smart city project, but you will never see any smart public facilities here even by mistake. More than twenty five years have passed since the birth of Satna Municipal Corporation of Vindhya region and in the meantime Satna also got the gift of a smart city, if nothing happened then it was the expansion of basic facilities to the general public. Smart City Satna is identified by the waterlogging on the roads of residential areas. Here development has crossed the limit, so the problems of the public are seen only as a show-off to the officials and leaders. During the last twenty five years, crores of rupees of the general public were spent in the name of providing basic facilities to the public, but the facilities have not reached the doorstep of the people. The story of ward number 33, included in the list of developed wards of Satna Municipal Corporation, also remains like other wards of the city. Here, a network of water supply and roads was laid in every house, but the public representatives were not successful in getting the necessary drains constructed for the drainage of rainwater. This is the reason that as soon as it rains, waterlogging at different places in lane number two in front of Sai Baba temple becomes a complex problem for the people. In these twenty-five years, MPs, MLAs, mayors and municipal corporation officials have made a lot of money from the government budget for development, but no one seemed serious about the concept of a systematic city. Talking about drainage without constructing drains on both sides of the roads in the streets is completely meaningless. Our mayors are honored on foreign soil for development, while the ground reality is far from it. If the problems of the public in the residential colonies located in the municipal corporation area really become public, then leave alone honor, our public representatives should not be invited to participate in any event. The leaders who are making tall claims of development need to come down to the ground and work for the people, otherwise in the coming times, the troubled people will not even open the doors of their houses on the arrival of the leaders.
