Along with this, contact has been made with the police of many nearby districts including Patna, Hajipur, Motihari.

Video footage has also been made available to the police of these districts, so that the thieves can be identified from their pictures. It was said in the FIR that on the midnight of 22 June, the thieves have stolen 23.64 lakh five hundred rupees by cutting the ATM machine with a gas cutter.

The police is facing difficulty in collecting evidence including fingerprints due to the ATM being set on fire after the theft and then dousing it with water. Police says that the thieves had deliberately set the ATM on fire so that fingerprints and other evidence would be erased when the ATM is doused with water. For this, the police is also taking help from the FSL team in the investigation.
