During the mock drill, sirens will be sounded at 80 places in Patna alone at 6:58 pm. During this time, people will be asked to remain alert. Awareness will be created among people about what they should do and what they should not do in case of any attack. Fire brigade and police station vehicles are to be used during the mock drill. The administration said that there is no need to panic during the mock drill. This is just a practice which is being done only to alert people.
There will be a blackout after the siren sounds
Some guidelines have also been given for this. It would be better if the vehicles stop where they are as soon as the siren sounds during the mock drill. It is advised not to turn on the mobile light during this time. According to the information given by the administration, the siren will be sounded for two minutes from 6.58 pm to 7 pm. After this there will be a blackout.
On the other hand, Patna SSP Avkash Kumar said that the police is on alert mode only after the Pahalgam attack. Security of important places has been increased on the basis of intelligence report. There is no need to panic. Patna DM Chandrashekhar Singh said that mock drills will be conducted in other cities besides Patna

DM Chandrashekhar Singh said that on May 7 at 6.58 pm, the siren will sound for about two minutes and after that blackout will be done from 7 pm to 7.10 pm. During this time the lights will be off. He said that do not use alternative means of electricity supply, if very necessary, use curtains on the windows so that the light does not go out.
