Satna. Maharana Pratap Jayanti was celebrated with great pomp in the city on Sunday. Shaurya Yatra was taken out under the leadership of Royal Rajput Organization. The Yatra started at 5 pm after garlanding the statue of Maharana Pratap. It ended at Subhash Park via Semriya Chowk, Krishnanagar Road, Hospital Chowk, Jai Stambh Chowk. Senior citizens and women power of the society participated in it. On the occasion, Royal Rajput Organization dedicated an ambulance for the treatment of the poor section of the society. The Yatra was welcomed at many places. Congress Committee City General Secretary Ajay Kumar Soni welcomed it at Semriya Chowk. The traders organization welcomed it at Pannilal Chowk.
Respect for talent: Stage programs were held in Subhash Park. The chief guest was former Zilla Parishad President Gaganendra Pratap Singh. District Panchayat Vice President Sushmita Singh, District Sohawal Vice President Dharmendra Singh Baraj, National President Sanjeev Singh, National Secretary Satendra Singh, Sudhir Singh Tomar, Satpal Singh, Pushpraj Singh, Rajju, Pankaj Singh Parihar, Praveen Singh, Anil Singh, Ashok Singh, Ravi Singh were present as guests. Brigadier Devendra Singh presided over the function. Miss Teen Meenakshi Singh, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Ambassador Gargi Singh, Sub Lieutenant Siddharth Singh, Dr. Puneet Singh and Dr. Vikram Singh in the field of medicine, archer Atul Singh and Ayush and Aryan Pratap Singh in sports were felicitated on the stage.
Fencing coach Aarti Singh Baghel said, the Kshatriya women were walking with swords in their hands in the yatra. Bigdhi on the life of Maharana Pratap was walking ahead of the yatra amidst the tune of the band. The bravery of sword fighting was also displayed by the youth at the main intersection. Women were also carrying swords in Rajputana attire. The audience was mesmerized watching the sword fighting of Sanvi, Arnav, Tejaswani, Gaurav, Praval, Aneesh, Aradhya, Aditi.
