She told that her husband had bought it and kept it in her purse. He said that if you do not bring money and car then eat it and die. Whereas, grandmother said- Neha had told that if she talks to any teacher in school then her husband abuses her. He also beats her.

They were asking for 20 lakhs and a Scorpio

Actually, on 22nd June, BPSC teacher Neha Gupta (25) committed suicide in her maternal home in Motihari, fed up with the torture of her in-laws. Her parents say that her husband and in-laws were asking for 20 lakh rupees and a Scorpio. Her husband said that my brother has got a lot in dowry. So I should also get it. Neha used to work in Darbhanga. Neha was married to Ashutosh Kumar in Belhiya of Tariyani police station area of ​​​​Shivhar district two years ago. Ashutosh is also a teacher. He is working in Muzaffarpur. Neha's family has complained to SKMCH OP police to register an FIR. Her parents say that the in-laws were informed about the death, yet they did not come. SKMCH OP in-charge Dr. Lalan Kumar Paswan said that the complaint has been received. Further action will be taken after the postmortem report comes. Neha was the eldest among the siblings. Reached Neha's maternal home and talked to the family members. Neha's father Rajkumar Gupta runs a general store. He has three daughters and a son. Rajkumar Gupta says that Neha was the eldest. She was kept away from the village and taught. She used to teach children from the beginning. She was fond of becoming a teacher. Ashutosh's father, brother and mother are all teachers. That's why the daughter was married in that house. According to Rajkumar, Neha married Ashutosh on 22 April 2022. After marriage, Neha also became a BPSC teacher. Everything went well for one year after marriage. When Ashutosh's younger brother Ashish got married, he got a lot of goods and money in dowry. After this, Ashutosh's behavior changed and he started torturing Neha. Ashutosh used to say that I am also a teacher, my brother is also a teacher. He got so much dowry and what did I get. You bring 20 lakh rupees and a four-wheeler from your father. My daughter used to say that now I have also become a teacher. Everything will be done gradually. But, her in-laws did not agree to one thing. Rajkumar Gupta told that on 10 December 2023, in-laws beat Neha badly for dowry. After this, Ashutosh's mother called and told to take her daughter away. After this, Neha did not want to go to her in-laws' house. She was harassed so much that she used to cry at the mention of going to her in-laws' house. Neha's duty was in Darbhanga. Ashutosh used to harass her even there.
After the panchayat, she went to her in-laws' house after bidding adieu
Rajkumar Gupta told that a panchayat meeting was held on June 17. In this meeting, it was written on a bond paper that she would never be beaten or harassed. This bond paper was signed, then Neha was bid farewell. But, Neha did not want to go to her in-laws' house. While going to her in-laws' house, she had told her grandmother while crying that now you people will only see me dead. Neha's mother Kiran Devi said - There was a puja at home on June 21. Neha was called to come, but she could not be talked to. The next day Neha called and said- come and take me from here by 6 am. After this uncle Sanjay Kumar reached her in-laws' house. Only her mother-in-law was at home. She did not even talk properly. However, he came here with Neha. Neha's mother said- On June 22, she talked to Ashutosh on the phone at around 3 o'clock. What happened between the two that she started crying. When she went to ask her to eat at night, she did not say anything. She was only crying. After some time, she suddenly locked her room. The younger sister told her father, then he broke the gate and entered the room. Neha was vomiting. She was immediately rushed to the hospital in Muzaffarpur, where the doctor declared her dead. The deceased's grandmother Krishna Devi says- She used to tell me everything. She used to say that Ashutosh beats her a lot. We will not go there. Neha used to say that I will neither marry again nor die. I work. I will adopt a child from an orphanage and raise him. I will spend my life with his support.1
