Set up stalls at fairs to sell woodcraft products – Collector
Collector honored artisans and praised their products
Shahdol, Collector Mr. Parth Jaiswal inspected the Handicraft Handloom Center in Chhatvai village of Sohagpur Janpad Panchayat. He observed the woodcraft products, Gondi paintings, rugs, carpets, and other handicraft products being made by local artisans and praised the attractive products.
The Collector directed the Chief Executive Officer of the District Panchayat, Mr. Shivam Prajapati, to identify locations and set up stalls at local fairs to sell the products manufactured at the Handicraft Handloom Center in Chhatvai.
He stated that setting up stalls at fairs would promote the sale of products manufactured by local artisans. This would empower them economically and encourage them to further develop their skills.
The Collector also directed the Department to upload handcrafted products on online platforms to promote the sale of these products.
On this occasion, Collector Mr. Parth Jaiswal honored the artisans by presenting them with shawls and coconuts.
Superintendent of Police Mr. Sanjay Kumar Agarwal, Chief Executive Officer of the District Panchayat Mr. Shivam Prajapati, and other officials were present during the inspection.
