Why were ministers and MPs fielded in the election?
According to Devendra Parasar, political editor of India TV, Bharatiya Janata Party has fielded 3 Union ministers and four Lok Sabha MPs as part of a larger strategy. The party has given a message through this decision that if it wins the elections this time then anyone can be made the Chief Minister. Let us tell you that Shivraj Singh Chauhan has been the Chief Minister for more than one and a half decade. This time the party may face anti-government wave in the state. With this decision the party wants to avoid this wind. Along with this, by fielding these powerful leaders in the elections, a message has been given to the public that any one of them can be made the CM and this will affect other assembly seats around these leaders as well.
