Samdhi dies in sword fight in land dispute
Daughter-in-law's condition critical, sent to Rewa for treatment

Shahdol, after a dispute over property division, the father-in-law attacked his Samdhi and daughter-in-law with a sword. In which Samdhi died, while the daughter-in-law is said to be in critical condition and has been sent to Rewa for treatment. The incident took place in village Tikhwa of Papaundh police station area of the district on Sunday evening at around 5 pm. According to the information, there used to be a dispute every day between Rajendra Gupta, 50 years, resident of village Tikhwa and his daughter-in-law Prabha Gupta, wife of Nitesh Gupta, age 26 years. After which, for the last eight months, the daughter-in-law used to cook food separately in the house with her husband. But despite this, there used to be a dispute every day between the daughter-in-law and father-in-law regarding property division.
In fact, there was a dispute between the daughter-in-law and father-in-law regarding this on Saturday also. After which the daughter-in-law asked her father Ramashray Gupta, 52 years old resident of Tala Majhauli District Sidhi, to come to Tikhwa and get the property divided with the father-in-law. After which today on Sunday, Prabha (daughter-in-law)'s father reached Samdhiyan village Tikhwa with his son Vivek. From morning till evening, the division of land, property and jewellery continued. But in the evening, a dispute started between the daughter-in-law's father Ramashray and father-in-law Rajendra over some issue. After which Rajendra took out an old sword kept in the house and attacked the Samdhi and daughter-in-law. Along with the sword, he also attacked several times with stones. In this attack, Samdhi Ramashray died on the spot. While the seriously injured daughter-in-law was sent to Byohari after first aid. Where, seeing her critical condition, she has been referred to Rewa.

The condition of the daughter-in-law is serious. She was sent to Byahari hospital through Hundred Dial, from where the doctor has referred her to Rewa. One died on the spot. The accused has been taken into police custody.
